A civic group in Keelung initiated a recall movement against Mayor Hsieh Kuo-Liang, with the second phase of signatures set to stop receiving submissions on the 30th. The group continues street speeches, even with the presence of TSMC's founder, Morris Chang, boosting the atmosphere. The organizers announced that over 36,000 signatures have been collected, surpassing the threshold for the second phase of the recall. They plan to submit the petition to the Keelung City Election Commission on July 5, aiming for a recall vote as early as mid-September.
