The Ministry of Labor in Taiwan held its first minimum wage review meeting, seen as a preview of the 2025 minimum wage adjustment. According to a survey by 104 Job Bank, 18% of working individuals are in debt, 13% are struggling financially, and more than 90% are dissatisfied with their current salary, marking a six-year high. Nearly 83% support raising the basic wage to protect vulnerable workers and laborers, although concerns exist regarding potential negative impacts such as inflation and increased business costs.
