The documentary 'Sacred Forest: Alishan Forest Railway Journey,' a joint production between PTS and NHK costing over tens of millions New Taiwan Dollars, faced challenges such as managing large amounts of audiovisual materials during the 12-day shooting period. With a team comprising Japanese and local staff and using advanced equipment including two 8K cameras, two 6K drones, 22.2-channel sound, and 35 boxes of equipment, the crew had to tackle issues like sound recording and data storage due to the massive size of 8K files, reaching up to 61TB. The crew worked tirelessly on file backups, post-production editing, and discussions to ensure the high-quality output of this immersive documentary capturing the essence of the Alishan forest railway culture.
