Reported 10 months ago

Son of a Taiwanese air force officer sent to study at a US military academy, Xu Haoming was scheduled to graduate at the end of May and invited his grandmother and mother to attend the graduation ceremony in the US. Unfortunately, they were severely injured in a major car accident on their way to the event. With initial medical expenses estimated to exceed millions of Taiwanese dollars, the family's already limited financial situation led to difficulties in covering the costs. After the news spread, various parties have urgently raised funds, with over 250,000 USD already raised as of June 9 morning, surpassing the goal. Xu's mother and grandmother suffered serious injuries, requiring major surgeries and intensive care. Funds are being raised to assist Xu's family with the substantial foreign medical expenses and future care upon returning to Taiwan. Generosity and support have been pouring in to help them through this difficult time, with over 360,000 USD raised so far, surpassing the initial goal of 250,000 USD to aid their recovery and return to Taiwan.
