Owner of 200-ping Restaurant in Urgent Need of Successor, 'Don't Want to See It Abandoned'

Reported 12 months ago

Wu Tan-ju put a lot of effort into managing the Little Bear Bookstore in Yilan's Meihua Lake, a 200-ping property she purchased for 15 million NT dollars in 2010. Facing the retirement of her sister-in-law due to health reasons, she seeks a new owner to continue the business, expressing her reluctance to witness Meihua Lake decline again. Initially actively involved in the operation, Wu handed over the reins to her sister-in-law during the pandemic in 2020 and reduced rent to keep the restaurant afloat. Despite 14 years in operation, the restaurant is well-maintained. Wu hopes for a capable successor to keep the venue thriving as her daughter has no interest in taking over the business. She envisions a chain brand moving in to maintain the restaurant's vitality.
