A man named Zheng, who works in the pet industry, brought his Corgi to a restaurant in Pingtung two years ago. While in the parking lot, Zheng and his Corgi were attacked by a Pit Bull owned by a man named Liao. The Pit Bull's attack left the Corgi severely injured, resulting in a legal case. Liao was sentenced to 3 months in prison and was ordered to pay 196,689 NT dollars in damages. The court found Liao negligent for not properly restraining his dangerous dog, causing harm to both the Corgi and Zheng. Both the criminal and civil aspects of the case can be appealed.
