In April, the owner of well-known beverage chain '幸福堂', Chen Yongliang, got into a conflict with the police after his car was towed for illegal parking. While holding a child in each hand, he first instructed his wife to 'hurry and get in the car', then got into a physical altercation with the police, resulting in his 1-year-old son falling to the ground and the police officer falling as well. Chen accused law enforcement of misconduct, but the Hsinchu police countered by accusing Chen of assault and obstruction of official duties. The incident is currently under investigation.
