A Harvard study linked Novo Nordisk A/S' Ozempic and Wegovy drugs to a higher risk of a rare vision loss condition, called NAION, according to researchers at Massachusetts Eye and Ear affiliated with Harvard. Patients on these drugs had a higher likelihood of developing NAION compared to those on other medications for obesity or diabetes. While the study had limitations and didn't establish causation, researchers suggest further investigation to assess the potential risk associated with these popular weight-loss drugs.
