A Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787-9 plane flying from London to San Francisco experienced a cracked cockpit windshield at 40,000 feet, causing panic among passengers. The pilot successfully managed to reassure passengers and safely return to London. This incident adds to a series of recent Boeing aircraft issues, including a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 suddenly descending near residential areas and a United Airlines Boeing 737-800 losing an outer panel in flight in March.
