Pan Wei-lun Falls Short of 150 Wins in Career Challenge, Registers Quality Start After 647 Days, Unfortunately Trailing When Leaving the Field

Reported 11 months ago

Veteran Uni-President Lions pitcher Pan Wei-lun, also known as 'Dudu,' started a game again on June 9th but was defeated after pitching 6 innings with 9 hits, including 2 home runs, giving up 3 runs. Despite delivering a quality start for the first time since September 1, 2022, Pan Wei-lun's team was behind 1-3 against the Wei Chuan Dragons when he exited, delaying his challenge to reach 150 career wins. This season marks Pan's final year as a player, with the coaching staff opting to transition him from the bullpen to starting rotation. In his first two appearances this season, Pan pitched in relief, securing his 149th career win. Although he failed to claim his 150th victory, his performance was overshadowed by opposing player Jair Jurrjens contributing significantly to the Dragons' lead as they emerged victorious.
