The Panama Canal is considering building a pipeline to transport liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) with Japan as a potential key client. Canal administrator Ricuarte Vasquez highlighted the project aims to diversify operations amid operational challenges and increasing demand for gas. The canal is evaluating its capacity to handle up to a million barrels per day, with an ultimate goal of reaching two million barrels. A decision on the pipeline is expected within the next year.
