The Lumix GH7 retains a 25.2-megapixel sensor and introduces a PDAF system with 779 phase-detection points, recognizing various subjects like planes, trains, cars, motorcycles, humans, animals, and birds. The video capabilities include 5.7K 60fps, 4K 120fps, Full HD 240fps, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes RAW HQ, and support for various formats up to C4K/4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit with a dynamic range up to 13+. Additionally, the GH7 supports the ARRI LogC3 format for color matching with ARRI film cameras. It also introduces 32-bit float recording support, requiring the purchase of the DMW-XLR2 XLR microphone adapter. The camera features Dual I.S. 2 5-axis stabilization, EIS for video stability, a built-in cooling fan for extended video shooting, and CFexpress Type-B and SD UHS-II card slots for storage.
