In May, AU Optronics' (2409) revenue saw a monthly increase of 6.6% and a year-over-year growth of 16.2%, reaching a total of NT$ 25.34 billion, while Innolux (3481) maintained steady shipments with a consolidated revenue of approximately NT$ 18.864 billion, a decrease of 2.0% from the previous month but an annual increase of 0.8%. AUO's revenue benefitted from the acquisition of German BHTC and growth in vertical markets, showing stronger growth compared to its industry peers in April and May. Meanwhile, there was a cooling trend in TV panel demand in May, influencing panel prices as well as manufacturers' operational capacities.
