In Taichung, Taiwan, a video surfaced showing a parent pulling a child off a motorcycle, pushing and kicking the child when he tried to get back on, and ultimately dragging the child along with the motorcycle while riding. The incident, which took place on June 24, resulted in public condemnation, with the police identifying the individuals involved. Despite this, the child's mother has decided not to seek a protection order or press charges. Authorities have committed to investigating further to prevent child abuse cases from reoccurring, and penalties under the Child and Youth Welfare Law could reach up to NT$600,000.
