His parents sought compensation totaling NT$3.586 million from the construction material store, hardware store, and the machine owner, but the court ruled that they were not liable except for the construction material store, which was ordered to pay a day's wage of NT$2,500 due to a contract relationship with He. The court found that the parties involved did not have a direct employer-employee relationship with He, ultimately leading to limited liability for compensation.
