Paris officials are optimistic about the next data on Seine River water quality testing, expecting significant improvements. With less than a month until the Paris Olympics, the recent water quality tests at Seine River, the venue for the opening ceremony and three swimming events, showed elevated levels of E.Coli and coliform bacteria at all four sampling points. The possibility of swimmers getting into the water remains uncertain. Heavy rains contributing to increased pollution in the river have caused concerns, but officials believe the water quality will return to a safe level with improved weather conditions.
