Paris, Texas Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Premiere of 4K Digital Restoration Version

The classic film 'Paris, Texas' by renowned director Wim Wenders, which won the highest honor, the Golden Palm Award, at the 37th Cannes Film Festival, is marking its 40th anniversary this year and is being released in a new 4K digital restoration version. Taiwan's distributor is bringing the 4K digital restoration version to theaters on July 26, with a special feature of a greeting from the director Wim Wenders before each screening. The film, known for its exceptional behind-the-scenes team and captivating performances by the main characters, portrays a mysterious man, Travis, played by Harry Dean Stanton, who is lost in the desolate desert. Wenders praised the new restoration, hoping it will be a rediscovery for many and a new journey for others to delve into the beauty of the American West and soul.
