A 78-year-old park ranger, Tom Lorig, tragically passed away after falling and hitting his head on a rock while assisting visitors during Bryce Canyon National Park's annual Astronomy Festival. Despite efforts from medical responders, Lorig could not be revived. Lorig, who had a long career as a nurse and park ranger, was highly regarded for his service and dedication across multiple national park sites. The community and National Park Service mourn his loss and extend condolences to his family and friends.
