During summer vacation, a private parking lot in the Ximending commercial district of Wanhua, Taipei, became extremely crowded on weekends, with drivers continuing to enter even when there were no available spaces, resulting in the underground lanes being filled with vehicles waiting for parking spots. This led to drivers being unable to move their cars and causing congestion. Despite the situation, they were still required to pay for parking. The management has been criticized for allowing more cars in than the lot can accommodate, and the authorities have promised to take action if the problem persists.
