Parliament Smoking Incident Caught on Live Camera Leads to Criticism and Fine Threat

Reported about 1 year ago

During a parliamentary session, Kuomintang legislator John Wu left his seat and smoked by the door, which was broadcasted live on TV, resulting in complaints. This is not the first time Wu has been caught smoking in a public building, as he was previously reported for smoking in the Premier's resting room. Health authorities have received a complaint and may fine Wu between 2,000 to 10,000 NTD if he fails to provide an explanation within seven days. Despite the potential fine, Wu responded confidently, 'Fine me if needed,' dismissing the issue as 'ridiculous.'
