Yahoo News, June 21, 2024, 1:20 AM: The Legislative Yuan today held a roll-call vote to decide on the Executive Yuan's two reconsiderations of bills related to parliamentary reform. With a majority, 62 legislators voted 'in favor of maintaining the original decision of the Legislative Yuan, thus opposing the reconsideration,' resulting in the reconsideration being rejected. KMT Chairman Eric Chu expressed hope that the DPP government would truly heed public opinion and return to its democratic reform commitment. After the reconsideration was rejected, Chu participated in the 'Blue Eagle Action' event organized by the KMT around the Legislative Yuan, rallying over 7,000 supporters. He emphasized the importance of upholding justice, anti-corruption, and the determination for truth, urging the DPP to remember that Taiwan's democracy is based on ballots, not confrontations or violence.
