Parliamentary Reform Reconsideration Vote on 21st! Latest Poll Shows Shift in Young People's Views with Lowest Support from This Age Group

Reported 8 months ago

The parliamentary reform reconsideration vote is set to take place on the 21st in the Legislative Yuan. A recent survey by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation revealed that over half, 51.9%, of the public supports the Executive Yuan's proposal for parliamentary reform, with only 33.5% opposed. Notably, apart from the 20-24 age group, all other age groups show support exceeding 50% for the reconsideration. Factors influencing the significant public backing for the Executive Yuan's proposal include the desire for clarification on the ongoing 'parliamentary reform legislation' debate and potential political motivations. The survey was conducted nationwide with adults aged 20 and above, with a sample size of 1070 and a margin of error of approximately ±3% at a 95% confidence level.
