Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded to body-shamers criticizing a video of him walking to an offseason workout, expressing surprise at the negative comments about his appearance and stating he didn't expect to still be receiving "dad-bod" remarks after dealing with similar comments during the NFL playoffs. Mahomes mentioned he doesn't have abs and plans to work on that, jokingly noting he may start wearing looser T-shirts and explaining that his backpack was holding his shirt in. He has previously addressed public scrutiny about his body, particularly after a video still circulated on social media showing him shirtless after a game. Mahomes credited his wife, Brittany Mahomes, for her support and the day-to-day tasks she manages in their household so he can focus on football.
