In an attempt to create a safe and friendly pedestrian environment, the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City implemented the city's longest pedestrian walkway along Ruilong Road in the Qianzhen District, lined with numerous shops. However, the walkway faced controversy as cars continued to park on the designated pedestrian area, resulting in elderly pedestrians having to navigate through a narrow space. Despite repeated communication with residents, the issue of illegal parking persists, with authorities now enforcing penalties to maintain pedestrian safety and orderly parking.
