According to a pediatrician, many infants under one year old with persistent high fever, decreased appetite and activity levels, and red throat have been testing positive for COVID-19. The pediatrician warns that infants under one year old, who have not experienced previous waves of COVID-19, may not receive a prompt diagnosis due to lack of awareness. Symptoms post-diagnosis in infants typically include high fever, inflamed throat, mild nasal congestion, slight diarrhea, and must be treated promptly. It is emphasized that children under 10 years old experiencing a fever exceeding 41 degrees Celsius should seek immediate medical attention in light of the escalating cases of COVID-19 infections among pneumonia patients.
