The SEF has sent a letter to China's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits regarding the Penghu-registered fishing boat 'Da Jin Man 88' being forcefully inspected by two Chinese coast guard ships while operating near Kinmen last night. The boat was taken to Wutou Port in Fujian. SEF requests China to clarify the incident and reasons for detention, and to release the crew and boat promptly for their safety. The Coast Guard Administration has confirmed that there were five crew members on board, including two Taiwanese and three Indonesians.
