A Penghu fishing boat, Da Jin Full No. 88, was suddenly approached by two Mainland Chinese Coast Guard ships while operating in the waters off the northeast corner of Kinmen on the night of the 2nd. The ships took photos, conducted inspections, and then took the vessel back to the coastal waters of the Mainland. The news shocked the local fishermen in Kinmen, leaving them anxious. The incident raised concerns among the fishermen, with some expressing fears of a similar fate if caught operating normally in our waters. The Kinmen Fisheries Association has not received any abnormal reports from local fishing vessels and has advised fishermen to continue their operations without overreacting.
