Persistent Front Hovering! Northern Taiwan Faces Potential 3-Day Thunderstorm Deluge, Meteorologist Wu Derong Warns

Reported about 1 year ago

Meteorologist Wu Derong warned that based on observation data, scattered showers are expected in coastal areas of northern Taiwan with a potential for thunderstorms in the coming days. The European model simulation suggests that a persistent front will linger in the East China Sea to Yangtze River Basin, bringing the possibility of localized thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 25 to 37 degrees Celsius across different regions with a warning of potential thunderstorms in northern Taiwan. Despite an increase in moisture due to a disturbance in the South China Sea, the European model indicates no direct threat to Taiwan from a possible tropical depression or typhoon development. Afternoon convective activity is expected in mountainous areas of Taiwan with a slight increase in influence next week.
