Reported 8 months ago

Peru's zinc miner Volcan Cia Minera, acquired by Integra Capital, aims to sell non-core assets to refinance upcoming debt. Looking to divest its stake in a Chilean cement maker and real estate near Peru's Chancay port, Volcan has already sold two hydroelectric plants for over $78 million. Expecting to raise over $200 million, Volcan is negotiating with creditors to strengthen its capital structure without losses, receiving positive investor response with bond prices rising.
