Reported 12 months ago

In July 3, 2024, a Shiba Inu went out of control and fatally attacked a poodle in a pet hotel in Nantun District, Taichung City. The pet owner entrusted the care of two poodles to the hotel, but due to a door left unlocked, a Shiba Inu attacked and killed one poodle and injured the other. The court held the hotel liable for negligence, ordering them to pay over 80,000 NTD. The owner of the poodles, devastated by the loss after 15 years of care, sued for 300,000 NTD.
