In Taipei's Neihu district, a pet shop on Xingyun Road invested a million NT dollars but was unable to operate, suspected of being harassed by an upstairs neighbor. Tragically, on the evening of the 26th, the owner was found dead by suicide outside the shop, reportedly due to financial difficulties. The owner had agreed to help repair the neighbor's balcony and water leakage issues in exchange for permission to open the shop, but the neighbor refused to sign the agreement, leading to a stalemate. The situation escalated, with the owner eventually taking his own life. The need for consent from adjacent property owners is required under Taipei's zoning regulations for opening a pet shop, resulting in a tragic outcome in this case.
