A pet store owner in Neihu, Taipei, committed suicide inside his shop after facing immense pressure due to the inability to open the shop for half a year, resulting from the 2nd floor tenant's unavailability to sign off on necessary paperwork. The owner had spent over 4 million NTD in renovation costs and faced financial strain. His daughter expressed grief online over her father's tragic decision and vowed not to compromise with the 2nd-floor tenant, who had initially agreed to co-sign but later reneged, causing delays in the shop's operational permits. The family has decided to temporarily close the store for a week before resuming operations.
