Reported 9 months ago

Taipei City Councilor Ho Meng-hua revealed on June 27, 2024, at 4:16 AM that in March this year, she had helped the pet store owner who had passed away to obtain the business registration for the storefront. The pet store owner in Neihu District, Taipei, committed suicide yesterday because he could not obtain the landlord's signature on the business consent form, resulting in the well-renovated storefront being idle and unable to open for half a year. Councilor Ho mentioned that she and her team had tried to help the pet store owner and the authorities find a solution, but failed due to the requirement of consent from nearby residents. She expressed her shock and sorrow upon hearing the news, emphasizing the owner's love for pets and her commitment to supporting the family through the difficult time and promoting Taipei as a city where all species can thrive together.
