Pfizer announced it will sell shares worth £2.5 billion ($3.05 billion) in Haleon, reducing its ownership in the British consumer healthcare firm from 15% to approximately 7.3%. The sale includes 700 million shares at a price of 357 pence each, representing a discount from Tuesday's closing price. Despite the divestment, Pfizer will remain Haleon's largest shareholder. This decision comes amid pressure from hedge fund Starboard Value for better accountability due to previous underperformance.
