According to a report by the Manila Bulletin, the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces, Gen. Brawner, emphasized the country's security facing new challenges and the need to strengthen reserve forces to effectively address potential conflicts and threats. By training and deploying graduates to the northern part of Luzon Island, the armed forces aim to bolster their capabilities in responding to various disasters and emergencies, drawing lessons from past conflicts like the Ukraine-Russia war. The reinforcement of reserve forces is solely for defense purposes as directed by President Pacquiao, to prevent war and not engage in direct conflict with external forces.
