The Pingtung Employment Center of the Ministry of Labor's Gao-Ping-Peng-Dong Branch held a 'Pingtung Regional Employers Symposium', advocating for government incentives to promote employment and focusing on the theme of 'Prescription for Labor Shortage' to help employers tackle workforce shortages, while also aiming to boost the mature generation workforce to create a win-win situation of abundant human resources and sustainable workplace dynamics. The engaging symposium attracted 72 local businesses and 83 employers. With the ongoing labor shortage challenge, the symposium invited Professor Ma Cai from the Department of Labor Relations at National Chung Cheng University as the speaker to discuss 'Mature Generation Workforce as a Solution to Labor Shortages', providing insights and solutions to help employers navigate the shortage. The event emphasized the importance of flexible employment, deepened vocational skills, and intergenerational transition for middle-aged and elderly workers, suggesting that adapting work arrangements can activate more mature generation workers. The Gao-Ping-Peng-Dong Branch expressed their commitment to strengthen employer services, promote cooperation in second career opportunities for women, middle-aged and elderly workers, and seniors, in hopes to stabilize business human resources and enhance competitiveness. Attendees, such as Manager Liang, shared positive feedback on the substantial benefits gained from the Employers Symposium organized by the Pingtung Employment Center annually for five years, appreciating the in-depth analysis and diverse perspectives presented on the mature generation workforce issue, which opened up new pathways for manpower utilization in enterprises. To continue serving local businesses, the Pingtung Employment Center will hold an 'On-Site Job Fair in Yanpu Area' on 7/19 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Xinwei Elementary School Activity Center, with 22 companies offering over 200 job opportunities.
