Pingtung County's Jiadong Township held its first post-pandemic Dragon Boat Festival's Melon Stand event, with Guanghao company sponsoring funds and General Manager Wu Weibin leading his team to participate in the event. The event had been held in the township and in front of the Presidential Office's Ketagalan Boulevard before the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing enthusiastic participation and national attention. Reflecting the nostalgia for the past events, the Jiadong Township Office and Agricultural Association decided to organize it again this year. The event, after a 4-year hiatus, took place on June 10 with over 700 large watermelons lined up on the road in front of Kuanghui Temple, hosting activities like a watermelon eating contest and local product market, witnessing an unprecedented scale and crowd turnout. The township's mayor highlighted the hard work put in by local residents in watermelon cultivation and emphasized Jiadong's significant contribution to Taiwan's watermelon production. Additionally, he encouraged people to visit Jiadong for cultural attractions and to purchase high-quality agricultural products. Expressing gratitude to all the parties for support, the mayor especially thanked Guanghao company and Taiwan Sunshine Public Welfare Promotion Association for their sponsorship and assistance, enabling the successful organization of the event. The township also presented a certificate of appreciation to Guanghao company, with General Manager Wu Weibin representing the acceptance. During an interview, Wu Weibin stated that Guanghao Company, in line with government policies promoting renewable energy, has been dedicated to solar energy and energy storage system construction, setting up offices at project sites and hiring local residents to promote employment.
