Pixar Reveals Reasons for Not Making Live-Action Version of 'Inside Out' While Offering Movie-themed Rooms and Memory Balls Through 'Brain Headquarters'

Reported 12 months ago

The Pixar sequel 'Inside Out 2' quickly surpassed $1 billion in global box office sales just 19 days after its release in 2024, becoming the fastest animated film to reach this milestone. Despite the desire from fans for a live-action adaptation, Pixar's Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter expressed reluctance, stating that the uniqueness and creativity of their animated films would be lost in a live-action remake. However, Pixar teamed up with Airbnb to create movie-themed rooms, offering fans the chance to experience the animated world and take home memory balls, giving them a taste of 'Inside Out's' emotional characters and storylines.
