According to the Ministry of National Defense's announcement on 7/18, the Chinese People's Liberation Army has been detected near the Taiwan Strait with 20 aircraft (including 10 instances of crossing the median line and entering the northern, southwestern, and eastern airspace) and 6 ships between 6 am on 7/17 and 6 am on 7/18. The Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding using aircraft, ships, and land-based missile systems. The deployment of aircraft and ships by the Chinese Communist forces, forming a potential encirclement around Taiwan, raises concerns about military escalation.
