Plasticizers Detected in 4 Brands of Gloves Increase Risk of Breast Cancer; Major Brands Also Affected

Reported 8 months ago

A recent investigation by Taiwan's Consumer Protection Office found that 4 out of 24 household gloves tested contained excessive levels of plasticizers, which could increase the risk of breast cancer for women who are regularly exposed to them. In addition, 5 gloves had unclear labeling. The authorities have requested the removal of non-compliant products from shelves and will enhance monitoring of household gloves' quality to protect consumers' safety and rights. Measures are being taken to address the issue and ensure proper labeling and education for both manufacturers and consumers in Taiwan.
