Platform Science has announced its agreement to acquire Trimble's global transportation telematics business units, with Trimble becoming a 32.5% shareholder in the expanded company. The acquisition, set to close in the first half of 2025, aims to enhance driver experiences, fleet safety, and operational efficiency. Trimble's telematics unit reported approximately $300 million in revenue over the past year, while the partnership is expected to boost both companies' offerings in commercial vehicle ecosystems.
