On July 5, 2024, at 1:33 am, the Tainan police found a stolen vehicle driving recklessly on the street and attempted to intercept it. The driver refused to cooperate and tried to escape, leading to a chase that ended in a dead-end alley. The police broke the window and subdued the driver to make an arrest. In a separate incident in the same area, a motorcyclist, identified as a missing migrant worker, abandoned their vehicle upon seeing the police on a bridge and attempted to flee. The police chased the motorcyclist and successfully apprehended them after a 200-meter pursuit. The police broke the news of these events and emphasized the importance of compliance with law enforcement.
