On June 7th, while patrolling, police in Xizhi City, New Taipei, caught a man acting suspiciously at an ATM who turned out to be a scam group driver found with stolen 100,000 NTD. The 26-year-old man, surnamed Su, joined the fraud group in April as an ATM driver to make money. After being caught red-handed, Su was arrested and detained without bail. The fraud group used methods like false online auctions and impersonating relatives to deceive victims, urging the public to stay vigilant and not disclose personal bank details to avoid falling prey to scams.
