During traffic duty in Taichung, Taiwan, police officers noticed two Indonesian migrant workers behaving suspiciously and attempted to question them. The workers immediately ran off, with one hiding in a store before being caught by the police. The captured worker, a 23-year-old Indonesian male named Ah, had been reported missing by his employer since April. During his apprehension, Ah expressed fear and repeatedly asked to contact his mother, explaining that he ran away due to the difficult working conditions and wished to assure his mother of his safety. The case has been referred to immigration authorities for further handling, with a reminder from the police for the public not to employ undocumented workers to avoid severe legal consequences.
