Former police chief Yeh Yu-hsin of Taipei's Datong Police Precinct was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for accepting bribes from a fraud group, including cash, a Mercedes-Benz, and foreign currency. He was convicted of breaching his duties, accepting bribes, forging documents, and money laundering. The court also sentenced the main fraud suspect and Yeh's female friend for their involvement in the corruption scandal. The case involved the detention and deaths of individuals by the fraud group, led by a suspect known as 'Lan Dao.'
