On July 17, 2024, Lin Shijie, a director of a fishing association in Tainan City, was shot dead in front of his home, and the assailant fled in two rights cars and a motorcycle. Police arrested two men in Kaohsiung who were involved in the sale of the rights cars, now considered witnesses, to uncover the identity of the final buyer. The investigation into the murder case involves multiple individuals, including Lin Shijie's younger brother, 'Mask Man' Zhang, and a woman named Luo, with varying levels of involvement.
