According to Minzhi Daily on July 7, 2024, Deputy Director Lin Jianzhi of the Dazhi South Road Police Station in Da'an District, Taipei City, announced that the police have recently busted illegal Texas Hold 'em poker dens in the area. Following a tip-off, they raided a baccarat occupational gambling den on Section 4 of Renai Road, arresting 20 individuals and seizing cash, chips, surveillance equipment, and gambling tools. The operator, Mr. Xu, concealed the baccarat den within a building with access control, even posting a 'temporarily closed' notice at the front entrance and operating clandestinely through the underground parking lot to evade authorities. However, the police uncovered the operation, emphasizing the impact of gambling on individuals and society, and assuring continued efforts to combat occupational gambling dens to maintain public safety.
