During a late-night patrol, officers from Taipei's Zhongshan Police Station apprehended a man named Chen for illegal parking and discovered he was a suspect in multiple recent fraud cases. Chen was found with a large amount of cash and multiple financial cards, leading to his arrest for money laundering and fraud. Authorities had been tracking Chen, who had been evading capture, but a simple traffic violation led to his arrest. This highlights the police's efforts in preventing fraud, as they have prevented 141 cases totaling over 125 million New Taiwan Dollars this year, apprehending 240 members of fraud groups and drivers in the process.
