Police are investigating an assault complaint against Sale lock Jonny Hill after a rugby fan reported being cut above the eye following an altercation where Hill allegedly put him in a headlock at Bath Rugby grounds. The incident occurred after Sale's semi-final defeat, and while Hill's club launched their own investigation, teammates defended him on social media. The fan, seeking only a new pair of sunglasses, did not wish to escalate the situation. Hill, who had been linked with a move away but was sidelined due to injury, will remain with Sale for another season.
