A police officer in South Carolina, US, suspected his wife of having an affair with a colleague and used local surveillance cameras to track her 'round the clock'. After this outrageous behavior was exposed, the officer was demoted and sentenced to six months probation. The officer, named Ryan Terrell, was found to have used his position to monitor his wife's movements in an attempt to gather evidence of her infidelity. Despite his claims of protecting his wife, Terrell was demoted and relieved of his duties as a surveillance system supervisor.
